My name is Spiro Kontaris. I work at McGrath Acura and am a car salesman. My world revolves around numbers and cars sold per month. On Tuesday, December 30th of 2008, I was really in poor spirits. By December 31st I needed to sell at least 12 cars by the end of the month in order to reach my bonus. You see, without my bonus it is hard to keep up with my bills. I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old along with a very busy and wore out wife who is a stay-at-home mom. I am the only one working and depend on my achieving bonus. On Tuesdy night I lost a few sales and thought my chances of selling 2 cars or more on the following New Year’s Eve Day was going to be impossible. Late that Tuesday night I ran into Christian and he made me promise him that I would visit his website. He guaranteed once I read it I would sell 3 cars on the following business day. I thought, what a nice guy, but knew that it would probably not happen. That night I went on the website and was surprised to find how negative I had been thinking and how it impacted my day. I realized that there isn’t many things in life I can control but one thing I do have control over is my attitude. The next morning I had nothing that could assure me the 2 sales I needed so I used my positive attitude and gave that a try. Would you believe that the next day I not only sold 2 cars, I sold 3! I wrote this story so I can inspire others to witness the miracle of P.M.A (positive mental attitude).
